On January 4,
Tony Mervyn
(Maintenance)
earned his Millwright certification from
Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland,
Wisconsin. This program combines on-the-job
and hands-on training in the workplace and at
the technical college. Skills are developed
to help the Millwright keep machines and
equipment operating and productive.
Tony started with Plastics Engineering
Company on May 15, 2006, as a Materials
Relief Operator. From 2007 through 2011,
he moved between BMC, Resin and Materials
Departments before beginning his Millwright
Apprenticeship studies on December 5, 2011.
“The Millwright Apprenticeship is a great
opportunity for on-the-job training,” Tony said.
“It brings work and classroom together, plus
everything is paid for.”
In celebration of this milestone, Tony and his
entire family including wife, Genieve, son,
Hunter (9), and daughter, Madalynn (2) took a
trip to Florida and a three-day cruise to the
Bahamas.
While in Florida, they stayed in Cape
Canaveral and toured the Kennedy Space
Center. “A family vacation was long overdue,”
Tony said. Even Hunter and Madi’s grand-
mother, Linda Kath (Plenco IT), joined her
daughter and son-in-law for a few days in the
Florida sun.
Tony’s parents and many extended family
members live in the Antigo, WI, area. He and
Hunter enjoy heading Up North to visit them
and for hunting, fishing and four-wheeling
adventures.
With only 16 credits left for an Associate
degree, Tony said, “Once the baby is a bit older,
I may go on for it.”

Tim was born in Monona, WI, but after
living in Sheboygan for 20 years, he
considers it his hometown. He and his
wife, Andrea, have been married 12 years
and have a dog named Lucy. Tim and Andrea
enjoy the small-town atmosphere of Sheboygan, many
wonderful people, and the easy access to an abundance of
activities here, yet like the fact they are close enough to bigger
cities if they need more to do. Biking, golfing, and all types of
skiing are some of Tim’s favorite outdoor activities. He also
enjoys music and attending live shows.

Erin is the mother of three children, ages
7, 13 and 15. She grew up in Random
Lake, but enjoys Sheboygan for the lake
where she walks with the kids. Dogs are a
big part of Erin’s life. She owns a grooming
business called The Laundromut and has a certified therapy
dog, Tubby, which she takes to local nursing homes for visits.
Erin also enjoys riding horses and currently is helping her
daughter train her miniature pony to pull a cart.
They all enjoy camping, football, and baseball, and Erin goes
trapshooting with her boys. Erin is active with various activities
in her church.
An interesting experience Erin had was when she spent two
months in British Columbia in a gold mine. After a friend’s father
had a heart attack, they flew in and helped in the mine.
